First Last Year + New Opening
Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a great day!
I had a busy and exciting end to my summer as I prepare to begin my final year at the University of Central Oklahoma! As I take on another semester and enter the last stretch of my collegiate career, I’ve been reflecting on how much I’ve learned through my experiences both inside and outside of the classroom.
This summer, I had the opportunity to work alongside some truly great people at both of my jobs, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences, relationships, and lessons that came with them. One of the highlights of my summer was being part of a very special grand opening: the opening of the 10th Vibe Whataburger location in Edmond, Oklahoma!
Being part of a grand opening was an experience I won’t forget. There was a tremendous amount of excitement, preparation, training, and teamwork that went into getting the restaurant ready to welcome the community. From learning new processes and working through training to serving and waiting on plenty of tables, it was a busy but rewarding experience. It was especially meaningful to be part of a new location that is only about 10 minutes away from UCO, making it a part of the community where I spend so much of my time.
While the summer was definitely busy, I knew that putting in the extra work would help me prepare financially and personally for my final year of college. Working throughout the summer and saving for the semester has given me the opportunity to focus more on school and be fully engaged during this final push toward graduation.
At the same time, I’m beginning to look toward what comes next. As I enter my last year at UCO, one of my biggest goals is to find an internship opportunity where I can take the knowledge I’ve gained in college and apply it in a professional environment. I’m excited to challenge myself, gain experience in my field, learn from professionals, and begin building the foundation for my career after graduation.
I’m especially excited about the opportunities that are ahead because I know an internship will be an important next step in connecting my education with real-world experience. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, developing my professional skills, and finding an organization where I can contribute while continuing to learn and grow.
Most importantly, I’m excited to officially begin this final chapter of my college journey. There’s a lot to look forward to this semester, and I’m ready to make the most of it!
Here’s to the final year at UCO, new opportunities, continued growth, and whatever comes next!
